Thirty years later, our shared passion is crafting world-class Sonoma County wines that delight the senses and excite the imagination. Showcasing vibrant aromas and flavors, they offer a striking balance of intensity and accessibility and are made to be enjoyed upon release. In 1981, two wine-loving psychiatrists established a boutique winery they named Folie à Deux, a French term meaning a passion shared by two. Core wines include: Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zinfandel. The menage a trois referenced here is the coupling of three grapes, Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet. The majority of the grapes selected for the Folie à Deux varietals come from the acclaimed vineyards of Sonoma County, and each offers a great expression of the varietal. Opulent and alluring, this dry white wine showcases aromas of tropical melon, lemon curd, delicate vanilla, pears, pineapple and apricot. Since 1981 when two psychiatrists founded the winery, Folie à Deux has proven that it is okay to be a little crazy about wine.įolie à Deux offers a variety of red and white wines to tantalize the palates of its tasters. Folie a Deux Chardonnay White Wine comes from the Russian River Valley, where cool temperatures allow grapes to develop intense flavors and vibrant acidity. Named for the French term meaning “a passion shared by two,” these wines represent the fulfillment of a dream to create a beautiful dance of flavors and true varietal expression. Lush pear and pineapple flavors with hints of nutmeg and vanilla are complemented by an enduring crispness. Folie à Deux has always held a passion for creating wines that deliver a delightful shared experience.
